Lord Richard Rogers, the world renowned Florence born, London based architect led on a budding urban project which is found in a little known suburb of Florence, called Scandicci.
Known for the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Lloyds TSB in London, to name just two, this is the first A to Z development, project managed by the Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners Studio (RSH+P ) from the Master Plan of the city to the final construction stages.
The City of Scandicci has shown a very brave and considerable shift away from the planning strangle hold on traditional style and taken an unusual risk with this modern design and Master Plan.
